Ye Olde "No Data To Export

OK, I've successfully exported 2 other animated models, but this one is stumping me. My main mesh is called hellhound2 and is not linked to anything. The dummy "detail2" is linked to the root of the skeleton used by the skin object on hellhound2. Should work right? I've read through all of the other posts and tried everything that I can think of. If someone with more experience than me would care to download my max file:

And also, I am using Max 8. I re-installed the very latest exporter for Max 7-8.

I took a look at it. Its weird really. If you add start and base on top of the hierarchy it exports. So sometimes you can use those (in case it does not work without them).

The other thing is after export the Polys of the model are flipped. I see problems with your mesh there. Too big a stack. So after UVMapping collaps it to an editable mesh and then skin it.
And not sure if thats a conversion problem but the Hound is 122 meters in my max when I open it and therefore as big Showtool as well. ;) Remember 1 Max Unit = 1 Meter in Torque.

Btw nice custom Rig. Wow I never got th Hang of Bones and IK Chains. Looks like helluva lot of work. :)
