Small problem, need help

by Joshua Wharton · in General Discussion · 12/17/2006 (9:09 pm) · 3 replies

Heres what I did: I went to My computer > C drive > Program Files > Blender Foundation > Blender > .Blender > Scripts, in the scripts folder I accidently changed the file type of the scripts to open with Blender every time they open. That was a big mistake. But now when I go to Properties to change the file type, the default type "Unkown Application" with the diamonds and ruby's icon doesn't appear on the list. Does anyone know how to change these script files back to Unknown file types so they will work again?

Thanks.

You could go under the advanced tab of the tools->folder options file types tab and remove the open command. That would keep Blender from trying to open the files. You should see all your apps on that list though, or at least be able to browse for whatever you want to find.

Yeah, I tried that before but it didn't work. I figured out an alternative though. I put the notepad file type on all the scripts folders. Seems to be working ok so far. Thanks for your suggestion though. I appreciate it.
