Chapter 7 and TGE 1.5

I am going through Ch. 7 in Advanced 3d Game Programming AIO and trying Stationary AI. When I try to implement aiGuard.cs, it crashes Torque.

This looks to be one handy module, but it is a long one to try and debug. Has this book's code been tested with TGE 1.5 yet? Any suggestions on how to get aiGuard.cs to work? Are there any known code migration issues going to TGE 1.5?
