What is the best game ever made with Torque?

Well... You probably recall the final version of Tribes2 was done by GG using the Torque engine.
Still, there are some d*mn good indie games like Lore and the ones you listed.

Technicly games like Tribes, Tribes 2, Starsiege, etc. (all games made at Dynamix) shouldn't technicly count considering they weren't actually made with the same engine that people are buying and usering here (aka. Torque or TGEA)

Quote:I just found out there is an engine called Unreal used for the Unreal Tournament game.Is that better then Torque? What are the differences between them? The main difference is about $299,900 ;)

The second is an awful tendency for Unreal-based games to have a long startup time ;)

in all fairness though, some of em do have legitimate reasons for their afflictions...
i can understand completely why those people directly involved with the core development would say what they've said... hey, wouldn't you be partial to your own child...
personally, i think that the only legitimate response on this was given by Mincetro... there's a huge initial cost difference in aquiring the two different licenses that may explain some of the reasons why the UnReal Engine is clearly 'better' (your term, not mine) than Torque...
if any of you don't see it as being 'better', just compare the games made with both... graphics wise, performance wise, sales wise...
that being said though, you've got to understand a few other factors that come into play here...
UnReal is big budget funded... therefore, it has access to a larger amount of various resources... this includes programmers, artists and modellers... motion capture specialists and sound production studio teams... what would you expect the outcome to be...
seriously... if you have acceess to all these resources, i might say that Torque might be a waste of time for you...
but then again, that may not necessarily be true either...
look at the TorqueX Marble Blast demo... all other things being equal, you've gotta admit... it's quite a challenge to the high priced spread... it offers many things that the UnReal Engine offers just based on an initial view...
hey, you should compare the results, the information, anything you can find about the two 'engines' yourself, and come to your *own* conclusions... don't expect too many objective opinions to come from this forum... you might get one or two, but understandably, many here are Torque Evangels... and members in good standing and faith, of the guild...

Don't listen to any of that stuff Luna... they're all obviously afflicted with that dreaded desease called fanboyitis :)in all fairness though, some of em do have legitimate reasons for their afflictions...
