Ok is The Nintendo WII all that is was promise to be?
Is it a bust or is it the real deal.
Is it worth the $250 or should i just get the XBox360?

lol.. It's like a 20 dollar chip. Ok it's fun.. it's simple it's got a new fancy controller that pulls at your carpel when pointed forward. What more can you ask?

I think that's a good answer Jaimi. X360 has a SM 3.0 GPU, Wii has a gpu that's well.. it's like granny GPU.330M X360

In general, the Wii is like an overclocked Game Cube, with a radically new input system. It's graphics, speed and memory aren't as good as the other new consoles, and doesn't support HDTV, but the gameplay is much more interactive. The Wii is about Interaction, and it does that very well - I enjoy it. It's also a good choice if you have smaller kids, because Nintendo usually gets better (and more) stuff that small kids can enjoy.
The Xbox 360 and the PS3 are about horsepower. They can run bigger, faster, and more realistic games. They're both aiming to be the convergence device for home media - games, music, internet, movie downloads, etc.
In my opinion, the Wii will come out ahead this christmas, but then it will slow down as more homes move to HD format, and people see what the other consoles can do. (The two "big" things this chistmas appear to be the Wii, and LCD TV's).
So, the answer is: It depends on what you want, and if you don't mind getting a new console a year or two down the road. I got the Wii, but I will also end up getting one of the other two.
