Looks like Ageia have revised their licenses at a glance it seems that now it is free to use, but can someone with a legal background interpret it properly for us.

P.s. this could shape up to be huge for us all if it is.

It means that we have another library to integrate if our needs require it. And for free to boot to foster dependence on their hardware. Nice move on their part.

OK. Please tell me that Torque Advanced is going to have this physics engine in it. Dear lord in heaven that would be so sweet!

Performance of Physics HW accelerated mode has been subpar if anything.
SW might be another story though.

@Anton

Yes, this does seem to be very good news for aspiring indie developers. Keep us posted on your progress. :)

I've heard rumors about this already being put in Torque Advanced. I sure would like it if GG would say something if it is and save us all wasted time doing it ourselves.

One of the associates is supposed to be working on it, not GG.

Ah, so an associate is on this already. Super cool.

Maybe someone else can work concurrently on a TGE version as well. I would be willing to work on it, but my coding skills probably aren't up to the challenge. Of course the differences between integrating PhysX into TGE and TGE-A might be fairly small, so with guidance, it might not be so bad.

The differences between TGE and TGEA are none in terms of physics.
I'm sure Chris said it would be its own layer though, so that would be easy to integrate.

Very nice.
