UltraEdit won't install

I'm trying to run through the install procedures on page 32. The Torque Engine seems to install OK. The second install procedure is for UltraEdit. When running the setup.exe for UltraEdit, the process hangs. There is no installation UI (except for the initial splash screen) and the process is in the task manager and the app isn't installed. Also, for the third installation procedure, there is no folder called "UE Tools" that I can find on the CD.
Has anyone else had these problems or have any suggestions? I know I don't have to use UltraEdit, but Id like to stick to the text. Thanks.

As did I, combined with the Chpt 4 stuff, begining to wonder if book is accurate....

i'm sticking to notepad for now anyway. UE doesn't offer anything i NEED.

Yeah, it's an old version, the tutorial is somewhat useless for the same reason, but if you poke around, you'l get the hang of the new versioni'm sticking to notepad for now anyway. UE doesn't offer anything i NEED.
