Problem accessing a resource on the website

by Decadium Studios · in Torque Game Engine · 11/21/2006 (11:06 am) · 5 replies

Hello,

I tried accessing this resource on the website:
http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=4352
It was some code to implement a "Fade In" effect.

The problem is, when I tried to access it I got the message:

"Sorry, this resource is only available to members who have purchased one of the following products:
* Torque Game Engine 1.4.2 - INDIE License
* Torque Game Engine 1.4.2 - COMMERCIAL License"

I found this to be strange, considering that I purchased the most recent version of TGE, 1.5. Is this intended? Am I missing something here?

Thank you for the help.

This ability is already in TGE.

Select a object and enter its ID#.dump(); and you will see the controls for this.

Its currently used on the ITEM class of objects, as well as the play, and others.

Decadium - hm, that is weird that you can't view the resource.
your account indicated that you're an SDK owner, which as i understand things should be sufficient,
and you obviously have access to the private forums.

are you sure you were logged in correctly ?

I have the same problem with not being able to accessing resources for 1.4.2 with my 1.5 license. The resources I'm trying to access are this one and this one.

I also have issues with the forums, and sometimes not being able to see them at all, but that's for another thread to fix...

Hello,

Yes, I'm sure I'm logged in correctly. It is showing the "Welcome" message in the top of the screen.

And there are some resources that I can access, like, for example, this one and this one, but I get that same error message if I try to access this one.

I have tried to access the first two ones without being logged is and it allows me to, so I guess that being able to access them doesn't really mean anything, since they aren't restricted. I have also tried to login to the site on a different web browser, and it still doesn't let me access those resources saying that I don't have TGE 1.4.2. The message doesn't change wether I'm logged in or not.

I would email GG. That is definatly a bug with 1.5 access.
