Ref art for 3d models?

by Dave · in Artist Corner · 11/20/2006 (5:59 am) · 9 replies

Hi,

Does anyone know a good source for reference art to base models on? Particularly humans, suits of armour, that sort of stuff, with front and side views that match?

Thanks very much,

Dave.

This is a good site to take a look at, almost anything you need for Human Body reference.

Thanks 007. Have you subscribed? Just wondering if it's safe for my credit card.

I might end up with just moneypennies :-)

You know what 007 jokes, no matter how much you try to ignore them, you always find it funny, that people think there jokes are funny, in reality someone has ALWAYS said it before. :P A challenge, give me a Bond joke thats not only amusing, but original at the same time :P.
As for subscribing to it, no, I have not as of yet, however I know many that have and it comes highly recommended.

Hi folks sorry for bumping this thread but I had forgotten about it and found it whilst looking for something else. Just a late thanks for the links, and an apology to Jimbo. I thought your name was an assumed one for the forums. Therefore I also assumed that bad puns would be appreciated :-)

About 3d.sk, I did subscribe there. I didn't have any problems and the only reason I'm not still subscribed is because...well, I ran out of money...

But yes, there are massive amounts of very high-res pictures of EVERYTHING to do with the human body. There are also some other reference pictures for other things, but humans is the main draw. I would recommend getting just the 1 month subscription, and then coming back a couple months later, since new stuff comes out regularly.

Thanks James and Gareth. Will drop Mr.Bond a mail next time I'm heading for the UK. I'm not going to mention the rugby :-)))
