Anyone played Morrowind yet? :-)

Wow!! Amazing!!! Beautiful!!!
Just bought Morrowind this week and it's definitely one of the most beautiful, profund and elaborate games I've seen so far! You really immerse into the world of Morrowind, the possibilities are endless, you can individualize various aspects of your character, you can go wherever you want, talk to whoever you want, join different guilds, accept various tasks... and it's absolute eye-candy stuff!! Take a look at these random screenshots it took, nothing fancy, but the overall look and feel is just amazing - I could take screenshots every second... ;-)
Morrow1
Morrow2
It's really fun to just walk around and watch all the people running around in the differnet villages... :-)
Sure, Doom3 looks awesome, but this is a real GAME ;-) (no offense intended here, hehe...)
But now, back to the World of MW...

I got the game a copule weeks ago too. The game is amazing. there is so much detail in the world and with the characters. Unfortunatly it now crashes everytime i exit a room back into the world, so i'm waiting for a patch.

It is a beautiful game, with environment effects to die for, but it still suffers the same problem that the earlier Eldar Scrolls suffered from (at least for me): mindless repetition. To get anyway initially you have to talk to a lot of people, and do small quests. Except I feel like I'm talking to the same person over and over again. And the quests? Get this and bring it to me etc. Mindless.

But the game is gorgeous and a technical marvel.

From the screenshots it looks like we could reproduce something like this in Torque. I have not played the game so my response may be incorrect. Seeing how you have made progress with your own Torque project, is Morrowind that superior in visual quality to TGE, would M be doable in TGE ?

Well, Torque is getting closer every day I would say... :-) MW has some advanced features TGE doesn't have *yet*, especially things like pixel shader stuff like (water) reflections (look at the official MW website for screens), day and night cycles, etc. - but nothing that *couldn't* be done in Torque, too... and actually there is fast progress in some of these areas (look at Melv Mays amazing extensions for some examples...).
But as far as AI, character system, dialogs, etc. goes, Torque is pretty "plain" as you know, so that is definitely something that needs a lot of work to actually "reproduce" MW... but speaking of graphics/rendering and the like, I would say you could compete with MW if there goes some effort in the afore mentioned areas...
