Well I guess that depends on your OS. There are a few ways you can do it really if you're using Windows one way is to create a folder on your hard drive call it... myleft_foot. Then you can iether download the Source code via CVS by following about 5000 steps (found within the incomplete Torque documentation - if you find a blank page on the wiki try to upload pornography and wait until someone finds it and removes it) or when SVN is used you can do it in 1 step when the day arrives that SVN is used. Make sure all the files unpack into your 'myleft_foot' directory. If you're using Linux make sure you've compiled it right and that your distro is one that is appropriate for games assuming that's what you're into then simply follow the above instructions. The myleft_foot directory name is completly optional I just find that by naming the various folders on my hard drive after my various body parts helps my know what's in them see if you can guess what 'mycorpusspongiosum' does.
The other way is to check out the file downloads in your profile and then unzip it onto your hard drive chances are by defualt it will unzip to a folder called TSE_MS4 assuming you're using Milestone 4. From there everything is set up, to delete it you just have to select the folder and delete it or with a .bat file: del TSE_MS4 with a simple double click.
There's a bunch of examples, source code and utils there. These forums are a great source of information until the threads usually get so side tracked the original post never fully gets a real answer but it's about 50% of what you need and in high school math 50% really means more than, or more information than you need. Like the post about using 3D World Studio generated lightmaps or the many many posts about people wanting to use larger texture sizes on the 'legacy' terrain but scaled down like how every engine out there pretty much does it except the Doom 3 engine. Now you can use a 32,000 size texture scaled the same way so it's still blurry as hell up close but looks mighty amazing at a distance. Notice how this post side tracked into terrain?
Wow I don't know what's in this drink but I'm gonna get another one.
Enjoy.
