Cannot access CVS?

Is CVS access restricted, or am I doing something wrong? I get this message in WinCVS:

cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.garagegames.com:2401 failed: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.



I wanted to grab the 1.3 release so I could learn from the changes between that and 1.4.2

I thought I read somewhere that CVS is now dead. Which brings up another question similar to what you wanted; How do you get the updates now?

I mean seriously, do you just keep redownloading the installer? Then you get to deal with the mess of two installs. Admittedly a nice tool like Winmerge will tell the differences.

No wait, did I say two installs? I mean 3. Your version with your edits, the version you keep on hand to make comparisons, then the one you keep having to download to make the comparisons.

By the way Shaun, I don't know if you can even get 1.3 the old way anymore. You may have to request it. I don't know if it is a liscense issue to get it from someone even though you are a SDK user, if someone would confirm that, I could see about getting it to you since I still have a copy of the 1.3 installer.

Damn. I remember being able to grab 1.1, 1.2 etc. via CVS. Maybe this ability is only restricted to 1.5 owners now, so that they dont have to restrict file access. Or something... :)
Oh well, Im going to buy 1.5 I think anyways. I like to keep things up to date. I just thought it would be a good learning experience.
