Ive been playing around with the terrain editor while awaiting V12's release. Ive read the editor help on the tribes2 support site. Its good to get started , but I was wondering if there are any Tribes2 mod sites out there already. If so , could somone please paste the urls. here.

www.tribalwar.com/zear

he has a wonderful mapping tut for t2
also the tribes official site has at the bottom left nav screen a "mission editor" section thats only somewhat helpful

fyi Gimp(www.gimp.org) does png's and its free for map heightfield import

best advice, save often, it likes to take "exception" to anything you want to do in the world editor though the terraformer and terrain editor seem fairly stable

2nd best advice create a 256X256 black png image as a template so you can create a flat terrain to mess with.

Brad,
I didn't know about the www.gimp.org site. I will look at it today. I myself have been trying to play/get around in the editor. I do however know about the www.tribalwar.com/zear site and have been using it to try and create my own renditions. As for mods, doesn't the tribalwar site have mods that can be looked at/down loaded by going to some of the clan sites?

No one has released a MOD to the public yet.. most are still working on getting a feel for the changes that were made (and discovering things aren't as easy as they were in T1 for some things.

On the client side on the other hand there have been several different scripts released. Writer released the support.vl2 that the scripters have been waiting for, I released HUDMover (which needs an update), TMMS a MP3 playlist / Multimedia system using the built-in Miles functions was released by ^bugs^ and I, PanamaJack released several scripts, and Cowboy has released a couple. Although he has been holding back on his big package for community support.

If real life didn't require so damn much attention I could probably get into the MOD'ing side of things and see what's new.

Oh and someone (I forget his name) released a Script IDE that will connect to the built-in Tribes 2 script Debugger, several of the scripters have been trying it and are very happy with the current release.
