I think $200 unfortunately doesn't go a long ways when it comes to people who can make a quality product.

but James has a decent idea. you might also check out Torque Game Builder - there's a free download. It's a 2D game builder, and while it does require some scripting it might be enjoyable and useful stuff to learn.

Sounds like free money to me.. Feel free to send it over to my paypal account. Course it'll have to be more than $200, because that's how much my lawyer costs per hour and it would take him at least that long to draw up the contract to accept money in exchange for "To see a game grow".

David,
I didnt see him ask for a contract.

just take the money and run dude!

Aaron, this is a weird way to approach a project.
if you want to be part of a development, you should learn some applicable skills.

if you dont want to code or do art.
there are other tasks.

Sorry I couldnt resist. But ... without being too rude, Aaron throwing down money and saying 'I want my own game' is kinda ... lame. like something paris hilton would do... or did.

Well look at it this way. Aaron is not saying I want MY game now. He is basically taking an aspect in a kind of a Publisher role.
A Publisher also says: "We got the cash, we like idea A B or C. make it happen, we will invest cash in it and we want X % of that return. We are gambling our money that its worth it"
I think the indie scene can def. do with people like this. So that they don't have to go to publishers that invest nothing but the promise of distributing your product, but actually BUY IN to your idea and product.

I will bite for something like this but the upfront investment got to be more like the $8000- $10 000 line. We all got our price. ;) For that I will be more than willing to split the ROI with the "publisher" at around 60% - 40%. 60% for him.
