New Type Of Fighter- Need Team-

Hello. My name is Kevin Mackaben. I am an aspiring Game Designer looking for a team to help create my visions into a reality of entertaining proportions.

I currently have two ideas written out. Each is in a general perspective. In order to show you more I have recently just "hired" an artist to draw me some charachter models and levels, so don't fret.

The game that I invision is a fighting game that not only escapes the boundries of a small arena, but also allows the player to actually have a fighter they can develop throughout the game.

Here are a few tid bits of what I am thinking of:

-Game set in far future on a desolate space craft, fighting your way to escape.

-Graphics are 3D made to look 2D (thinking about CelShaded). Charachters are sculpted like models from games such as Maximos or Final Fantasy Tactics.

-HUGE fighting zones, where you can crash through walls and use objects around you.

-Charachter creation. Create your own charachter, their own style of combat. Choose from 10 preset models to gain these charachteristics. 2 Races. One human the other alien.

-A story mode/Arcade mode/multiplayer mode/ and training mode.

-Easy style of graphics makes more room for design and features.

Now, my website isn't up yet, but it will be as soon as the artist is done with the pictures. I will present them shortly. I need another artist for level design, a level designer, a charachter designer, and programmers. I am new to all this so I want to make this short and sweet and I also love the graphic styles implemented here. If anyone is willing to work on this new type of project for free...and only work on a small amount to get the feel for it and possibly go all the way...then please feel free to email me. Look at my profile for my credentials and email addy.

If you're interested please contact me and I will tell you more than this small synopsis...

Thank you for your time...

-Kevin Mackaben

YOu have my interest, as I am also developing the fighting game of the future. I would like to hear more about your project, if you wouldn't mind telling me. You can reach me at avery@modernmagicinc.com, and I will keep what we discuss between us if you will do the same.

Reminds me of that bungie game called oni.

Only this has more martial arts in it.

I think a cross between oni and say tobal would be an awesome system.

Sounds good :) I would take a look into a few more artists. To get the motion for several combat and fighting styles as well as two races with variations for characters you're going to need a bit more if you want to finish in any sort of timely fashon.

(By my calculation you're looking at about 20 character models + textures, models for the world, and textures for all your objects, models, GUI, and such. It's a little much for 2 to handle :))

Also, most of what you're doing will probably be object scripts. Look into scripters as well as programmers (they're not always the same people ;))

Good luck! Are you going to use Torque?

Do you need a storyline writer? I am a pretty good writer.
