TorqueX for Education

by Terrance Simkin · in Torque X 3D · 11/07/2006 (8:50 pm) · 2 replies

Just to let you know that I am reviewing TorqueX as an educational tool. At my school have a lab of PCs and Xbox 360 waiting to be used as part of our curriculum starting in January... we hope!!! Using this time for learning an curriculum development; lecture notes, lecture examples and programming labs.

I am very familiar with .Net and C# so looking forward to this new development tool.

Currently learning XNA and Torque Game Builder. In fact currently at Garage Games Boot Camp on TGB.

So as you review and assess TorqueX please keep me in mind related to issues that might be useful for students to understand and learn. Drop me a post on this thread please.

I'd be interested in an outline of the curriculum you come up with if you are at liberty to share. I've been pushing a local school to get a better game dev program in place.

I'd be interested in the email of several of your students for slave labor. :)
