TGB is not opened in Windows Vista

Last week, I have received a message from Big Fish Games to check my games for Windows Vista compatability. I downloaded the RC1 on my computer, and tried to run several programs on it. TGE works perfect, but TGB (just installed and not modified) seems to run, but doesn't open any window (although it creates a tab in the task bar). Any ideas?

Depending on the version of Vista (beta, rc1, rc2 etc) you need different versions of drivers for your hardware setup which might cause the trouble you are describing.
I had problems using the built-in drivers that came with vista (beta and rc1), even tough they accelerated the desktop just fine they had poor performance in certain games.
I have read on some forums tough that those drivers work great in other games so it seems to be alot of confusion right now regarding graphics in perticular.
Check the homepage of the graphicsvendor, look for Vista drivers and update. Just be sure that they are for your version tough, nVidia for example seems to hide their RC1 drivers somewhere but keeps the RC2 drivers very public (which is odd since alot of people jumped on the RC1 build once it went public and RC2 is private only).
It might just solve your problem.

I've thought about it. According to the logs, the graphics device was created properly. The problem is that the window isn't opened. I can see a button in the task bar, which says that untitled.t2d is opened successfully. And everything seems to be OK (there are no errors in the log), but the application window is not appeared.

I saw the same thing on RC1 on a machine that only had the default drivers available. The game would run fine full-screen, but when it was windowed it would exist in the taskbar and you could actually see it running when you moused over it in the taskbar and it showed the preview window, but it wouldn't create its own visible window. On one that had new drivers available from Nvidia, it worked fine though.

I have SIS video card on my laptop. And I also believe that most of casual players will never install developer's drivers for their video cards, if they will not have any problems with default ones. If some of TGB developers read this post, maybe you can make few suggestions about the possible problem solutions, so I will be able to play with engine sources?
