What makes a game worth playing? Do's and Don't's...

What I like to see in a great game:
Lively characters, good storyline, accurate play control, inovations and new ideas that add more fun to the game, great sound and music, graphics that make you look twice, enemies that challenge you, immersive levels that make sense and give the game personality as well as a reason to be there.
What I don't like in games:
Repetition, ideas that are not implemented in the right way, bad control, bad collision, misrepresented graphics, useless objects and pick-ups that make a game boring, stupid enemies, enemies that cheat, bad level design, messy camera work, wrong sounds, and above all, games that don't know the meaning of fun.
These are what I base all my creativity on, and there's still tons more I look at to design the perfect games that people will look forward to playing and enjoying.
I have been designing and redesigning more than 10 game concepts for over 7 years now, without a way to bring them to life.

Only a fraction of those ideas will be developed into games and only a fraction of those will be true to the original idea and only a fraction of those will be widely considered by other people to be a great game.
Don't really know what my point is here so I'll stop typing

I think everybody on this forum has a great game idea or ideas. Well at least everybody's ideas are great to them, that doesn't mean anyone else will think so. Only a fraction of those ideas will be developed into games and only a fraction of those will be true to the original idea and only a fraction of those will be widely considered by other people to be a great game.

FF7 was amazing too, they both have there good and their bad.
I don't really have a point to make either, it seems it is all opinion based, so cya.

I liked FF8 because of the style of graphics and other things, like the general world setting.FF7 was amazing too, they both have there good and their bad.

I could do better than that in my sleep! Which I literally have(hehe).
The graphics were different and generally it was a fun game, but parts of the story and characters weapons, and that stuff, were cheap stolen ideas...
I personally loved Final Fantasy 8.
In my opinion, one of the best RPGs ever.
Graphics, story line, big worlds, everything but what I call the goth factor that FF7 had.
Ever try creating a game that was truly scary like that?
You should see some of the dreams I've had.
They were beyond scary, they were death itself staring you right in the face.
Anyway...
I think some people have a talent for writing stories, some people don't...
I have a talent for writing new, innovative, unique ideas, obviously some of these companies could learn from people like us.
