Anyone else still unable to download the 1.5 update?

by Matthew McAnelly · in General Discussion · 11/02/2006 (3:39 pm) · 5 replies

I purchased the engine a little over a week ago, since then I've noticed a few threads regarding the download servers being swamped and 1.5 not being available. I've also noticed a few people talking about using the goodies in 1.5 though.

I've sent a couple emails over the past week to support@garagegames.com, but so far no reply, and still no 1.5. I understand that things are pretty hectic over in Eugene right now, but if someone could tell me what's up with the download status I'd greatly appreciate it.. Thanks.

Matt

You should be fine to download it now. AFAIK, those problems went away within a day and a half.

FYI, I successfully started a download of 1.5 a few minutes ago (about 6:40pm EST), and am getting a touch under 100 KB/s, and it's about 2/3rds done at this point. So, give it another try soon... Good luck!

I guess I must have a different problem, as I don't yet have a link to download 1.5 on the download page. On the purchase page it mentioned to email support@garagegames.com if the upgrade download was unavailable. Shortly after my first email a week ago the ShowToolPro download became available, but still no 1.5.

I went ahead and sent another email a couple days ago, but haven't heard anything. Maybe my mail got lost? Any suggestions as to what I should do?

I do have the 1.42 download available, but just to make sure, people who purchased 1.4 after aug. 1 do get the free upgrade to 1.5 right? My very square blue guy, could really use some elvish companionship.

Matthew:

Looks ok from the customer support side of things, I see all the proper things in your account. Glad to hear it worked.
