Splinter Cell Parody

My friend and I have been working on a series of animated shorts currently called 'Special Forces'. The setup is very simple, with a comedic tone, mostly light, but sometimes dark and political. The two main characters are Sam and Dave; Sam is a blue-haired gaming slacker, while Sam plays the die-hard patriot. I had some thoughts about turning this into a game, along the lines of Splinter Cell's co-op mode. The key idea would be taking some basic ideas from the SC games, and making it as absurd and silly as possible. For instance: In the SC games, one player can rappel down the side of a building, while the other holds on, and lets them down slowly. In the Special Forces game, Dave, for example, could let Sam down. Sam, however, has the chord tied around his foot, and instead of naturally rappeling, he crashes into the building with each stop. Also, the player controlling Dave could simply let the chord go, and let Sam fall to the ground. As the tone is comedic, the two would have VERY big life bars. Any thoughts?

Scary thing is, we came up with Special Forces over 4 years ago, when the Iraq War was still fresh... But, yeah, we've gotten some comparisons, but hopefully we can make our characters much more distinctive than those two. The Bob and Steve shorts are just some machina, without any plot, character development, or even distinction between the two main characters- save for the blue and red lights. My friend and I are planning for a balance between light-hearted absurd comedy, with some biting political humor for good measure. That answer your question?
