Hi, my name is Fredrik and I've been working with music for about 10 years.
I've been working mostly within the media department doing music for various events. I have not created music for games so far, but I'm a avid gamer and draw a lot of inspiration from music in games.

During daytime I work as a art director at Born Marketing in Sweden, but on my spare time I am thinking of picking up some contracts from time to time to pay for my studio loan.

My going rate is 100$ per minute of music (minimum 100$), with an additional 40$ fee if you want the music to be loopable. If the music needs to be synched with video, my fee is 150$ per minute of music (minimum 150$). I can offer all normal waveform formats such as .wav, .mp3, .ogg etc.

My field of expertise in music is:
- Symphonic music
- Electronic music
- Ambient and chillout music

Here is a 15 minute long sample covering these styles:

Some of these are themed music while some are more background oriented, also some tracks are from my E:mortal project which I included to showcase the production quality.

I can also produce other music styles, but in these cases I might need to hire additional services, so cost must be discussed in these cases.

I also have a pool of talented vocalists who work professionally with music. For example Tiff Lacey is featured on one track in my demo, she has previously worked with such artists like ATB and Oakenfold. Cost of producing themed music with a vocalist must be discussed.

You can contact me at this e-mail: info@emortal.se

While my own project website is geared towards trance music, you can still check out pictures of my studio and also read my bio there. The adress is: www.emortal.se
You can also access my profile site on myspace: www.myspace.com/fredrikemortal

I hope there is interest in my services and I'm looking forward to meeting people from here :)

Thanks for your time!

/Fredrik

EDIT: If there is interest, I can also license any track from my demo for your game (except the vocal track), contact me at the above e-mail adress in this case.

Thanks :)

Well, yes it would be steep if you'd wanted synched music which takes a lot longer time to make, normally though I'm guessing people want standard music pieces that act as theme or backgroundmusic for their game, so a 2 min long track would cost 200$, which would take me about 3-5 hours to create depending on complexity, also taking into account the studio I've bought gear for about 40.000$, just the symphonic samples I'm using set me back 6.000$, so I don't personally consider my pricing that steep :)

However, I'm very flexible, if it were a big game I'd be working on then I could definitly lower the price, also if I'd be creating a lot of music.

I put together a little track this evening mostly for fun, it's a cinematic and rpg themed orchestral music ala Final Fantasy.
It's a freebie, so if people want to use this track in their games, feel free to use it, as long as you don't charge money for the music. You must also include credits to "Fredrik Johansson" plus a link to www.emortal.se.

Here's the track: www.emortal.se/music/beneath_a_gentle_sky.mp3

Let me know what you think about it :)
