Texture brightness

I am using hammer to design a cityscape at the moment and after loading a test run of the texture I am finding that it is bright to the point of being nearly white. There is not much detail on it however I noticed the problem more substantially the more detail I introduced.

Any ideas? I am totally stumped...

Loading a test run into Torque 1.5/TLK? If so reduce the Sun's color and ambient values.

I had this problem once, don't remember how I fixed it. Are you checking "Process as a low detail shape" in map2dif?

Thanks for the note yeah I jacked down the lighting after I figured out the TLK integration amplified the ambient defaults. Thanks for the great lighting system.
