1.4/ 1.5 merging

I bought the 1.5 upgrade. Do I have to merge it with 1.4 to use it. I don't have it downloaded yet, because the server won't let me ( its probally full) so I'll wait till after the rush is over to download it.

Everyone is posting on the forums they are merging 1.5 w/ 1.4, can I just use 1.5 and start a new project.

You can use 1.5 straight from the box. You only need to merge if you want to transfer your game form 1.4 to 1.5.
