Dual Core Intel(new XPS)... slow fps...

Just finished reading all of the AMD posts
I have one laptop that works great
Dell inspiron 9300
2.0 Ghz Pentium-M (single core)
256 MB NVidia 6800 Go
And another that is very slow
Dell XPS (brand new)
2.0 Ghz Core 2 duo (dual core)
512MB NVIDIA 7900 Go GTX
Slow framerate just moving the mouse even.
Help?
