Run your Torque Games in a browser

Here's a project I worked on as the Web designer. Basically a redesign of the OSA Kit (Online Software Activation Kit) site.

You can run your Torque game online using this simple tool. Basically it stuffs it into a .cab file. No big trick. You then code sign it to give assurance it from you etc. Then it plays in the browser. I know somewhere around here there is another fellow who got it working in FireFox. That was tres cool. I gotta talk to that guy :)

Here's the link and try out the game if ye be interested:

I still have a few links I have to add and also tone up the content, but most of it is there.

Cheers,
James

SWEET! Great work! I like your Mac and FF message (of course I had to see what it would say!).

Hey James, I've heard of this before.. a loong time ago. Maybe on the indiegamer.com forums?

There's a product called igLoader that basically does the same thing and has a lot of features.. but the price tag on that is going to be out of my range for awhile. So if this works reasonably well I'd be interested in giving it a go. Of course working in Firefox is pretty important ;) I'm sure you'll be able to figure that out.

I just updated the FPS on OSAKit.net and it works now guys. Sorry for I goofed on that one.

Joe, yeah, I know about igLoader. If you can afford it then all the better. Mine starts at around $15.

I will also be updating the work flow for it and will get it running on Fire Fox. I am working with the programmers at the moment to get it out the door.

Check out the work of Neil Marshall as well as this TDN reference.

Joshua thanks for the link. I found a way to run it in FireFox. Now I need to create an installer so it does it automatically. Neil is in Canada! Ha ha, very cool :)
