GeForce video issues

I'm getting lots of reports of problems with some GeForce cards using TGB 1.1.1. The cards involved include:
NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go
NVIDIA GeForce 6800
NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
Reported problems are vague, but include:
Are there any known issues with those cards?
Thanks!

Reported problems are vague, but include:
Quote:"It locked up my entire dual-core system the first time I opened it but started fine after I rebooted."
"Would not load properly"
"Wasn't able to play - received the error message 'nVidia OpenGL Driver; Driver component mis-match. Exit is only option.'"
Are there any known issues with those cards?
Thanks!

I don't know the status of the drivers for the machines. What I quoted above is pretty much all the info I got. Thanks for the help!

Even the EMPTY template is very, very slow.... probably about 7 fps. Very choppy.
I just updated the drivers. No change.
system specs
2008 HP Pavillion laptop (dv6000 model) . its only 2 years old.
2 Gigs DDR2 RAM
Nvidia GeForce Go with 793 MB shared video memory available
Dual Core AMD Athlon X2
DirectX 10
this same laptop runs TGE fine, very fast. And can play most retail commercial PC games.
I updated the drivers , like I said, but still no luck.
If it can't even play the "EMPTY" demo without slowdown, I imagine its a card issue. I have more than enough VRAM.

You should get much better performance if you don't set it to run in directx actually. (the rendering of TGB is exactly TGE rendering - so the exactly same dx performance problems exist)

the GPU is a DX9 pre shader gpu, not DX10.You should get much better performance if you don't set it to run in directx actually. (the rendering of TGB is exactly TGE rendering - so the exactly same dx performance problems exist)
