RTS demo eats up processing power, not RAM.

I ran the demo in a window smaller than my screen size, so I could see it running while at the same time seeing the Windows Task Manager.
Even with me selecting all the units, and moving them around, and placing buildings, it never got more than 45mb of ram being used.
And yet, my pentium 4 1.9ghz processor was at 100% CPU usuage.
Since the RTS Starter Kit was built on Torque 1.3, did Torque 1.3 have any memory leaks, or anything else that might account for this?
My CPU right now is at 8% to 10% usuage. But when I run the RTS Starter Kit's demo, it jumps to 100% usuage, and stays there.
Will people with various processor speeds please run the demo, and while it is maximized and running, tell me the results on your CPU usuage.
I'm thinking perhaps people with faster processors may not have the same problems I am.

I was trying to figure out why it lagged so much.
The total file size of all the models and textured used, isn't enough to account for it.
I was chatting with a Garage Games employee over at my forum, and he said it ran slow because of RAM, but I still have plenty of RAM unused when I run it.

I am running at Pentium Dual Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz, and 1GB MB of RAM.
And when I run the RTS Demo, with about 50 units (of my own) it eats about 300mbs of RAM and about 40% of my CPU.
So again, upgrade your RAM?

It could be that you do not have enough ram.I am running at Pentium Dual Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz, and 1GB MB of RAM.

Torque (as every other game engine) will always try to run as fast as possible, using every available CPU cycle.
With a faster processor you would get more FPS, but still at 100% CPU usage.
