Creating Windows OS

by Chad Kilgore · in Torque Game Builder · 09/26/2006 (7:45 pm) · 6 replies

I am attempting to create a faux Windows-esque OS using Torque GUI. And I am looking for suggestions on how to do the follow:
* creating a dynamic icon list for the "Start Menu" and "All Programs Menu"
* creating a menus that pop out to the right or left of a highlighted button
* creating right-click popup menus

Here is my current progress: www.cs.iastate.edu/~ckilgore/fauxWindows.jpg
If there is anyone who would be interested in helping me in this process, I would be greatly appreciated. I promise that the GUI will function as a game/simulator.

I think, that according to their license agreement you should use Torque in the games only ;)

It's a game...It's a simulator like all games are simulations of some fictional reality.

This is cool. I don't see a EULA violation. Have fun.

That's one way to test the GUI system! Good luck!

Hilarious! I would love to see that in action once it's finished.
