Desktop enviroment

Well all I have to say is WOW! I re-installed Linux but decided to try KDE my default instead of GNOME (I have loaded KDE before but just accessed the tools though GNOME) and KDE seem's to have a cleaner feel and much faster application load times.
I had been using GNOME for couple year's and so far I think KDE is much better than GNOME, but guess only time will tell.

You want to use twm cause there is nothing like running xfree and have it behave exactly likenot running xfree :PIm sure some console freaks like it.. :)

Although, uh, I don't use it or Gnome, personally.
fluxbox.sourceforge.net does it for me. That, a couple of transparent Aterms, Gkrellm ticking away in the corner, Sylpeed for mail, and Firebird for my browser. With XMMS for music. Lovely.

I like the beliefs and such that are put forth by the Gnome project (or how I interpret them, anyway) but I have to agree that KDE is so very much more pleasing to use. It's a lot more friendly to write software for, too.Although, uh, I don't use it or Gnome, personally.
