Looking for Artistes in Australia

Hi Everybody,
I am currently a final year IT student in Cairns Australia, beautiful place to live but there are a very limited number of computer animators and artistes out there.
What I am interested in doing is getting together a group of people (artistes and programs) in Australia who want to develop a game as a learning experience. I am interested in finding people with all kinds of skill levels, that can learn from each other and develop a game that everyone can use in there profile when trying to further there career in the industry.
If you are interested in participating in this little project please drop me a line. Furthermore if there is anyone out there that feels they can help out a group of enthusiastic Australian game developers please feel free to contact me.
