Well, so far I have done the fish tutorial, I need to get that book you are doing the corrections for because now I need to figure out a main menu, in game menu, inventory menu, etc etc etc.

I always cheat at every thing I don't know how to code alot (Im only 13) but I use the Splash Screen from the Behaviors and st it to click through, then the fade out time to 100000. Then for the next level to load I put in "example". Thats the Main Menue.

Jonathan - That book my son and I are going through doesn't get into any kind of menu, splash screen, etc., but as long as you have the fixes in hand it's a pretty good book. My son got mad at me for doing the next chapter without him, so I've switched over to the Breakout tutorial and am leaving the following chapter up to him. =:)Robert - thanks for the pointer, I'll check out the Splash Screen behaviors thing.

I eagerly come in and all I hear are cricket noises? =:)
I *did* get a score going on my "Batty" game by stealing some code from the old Breakout tutorial, but it was by trial and error (mostly the latter) since I didn't have the same files they were talking about.
if anyone has suggestions on a tutorial that would show me how to put up a screen with a "Start Game" button that launches a level, and then a screen with "Game Over" when the level finishes, that would be cool.
I've been doing searches in TDN but lots of stuff references older versions of Torque Game Builder, etc., so pointers to current stuff would be cool.
Thanks.
