Is there a known video bug in TGB?

OK then. Since upgrading to 1 1 1 TGB has been trashing my display when I run it. Display starts artifacting shortly after running TGB and gets wores as TGB continues to run till it is not readable. It then stays like that even after I exit TGB till I reboot. Nothing else causes this behavior.

This is on a Sager laptop with an ATI mobile 9700 chip

Is this a known issue?

It may be the graphic card, start saving now for another, because its a sign of dying for an ati card (mine was a Radeon 9700, and it died this way, artifact all over the screen everytime).

I don't think TGB is to blame here.

What drivers are you using? If you're using the omega drivers there's a overclocking menu that lets you run an artifact checker.

however... I had that issue on my 9600. Are you running ANY other OGL programs? Anything at all? TGB doesn't seem to like running with other ogl programs running (another instance of TGB or otherwise).

Some 3d modeling apps use OGL.

Yes, it looks like it is my laptop. Didn't think so at first. It was only happening with TGB, and I have some graphic intensive "business applications" (like quake, doom etc ...).

But I really loaded it down and got it to do it. I didn't think TGB would be quite so rough on the system.

Well, looks like I will have to tear it down to see what I can find. It is a laptop with "fixed" graphics, can't replace the card. And drivers are what the manufacturer supplies. Tried omega before, not good. Ended up reformatting to get it going again.

Thanks.
