Creating a 2d platformer in TGB

Hello all!

I purchased Torque Game Builder a couple of months ago and I've done some previous work in DigiPen courses, so I know what I'm aiming for and I've been eager to get something running. Unfortunately, my knowledge is very limited in terms of coding (I do the art and music). I saw there were tutorials but after a week of trying to get a 2d game built with basic player movement and gameplay elements, I've run into constant problems. Apparently, the tutorial is outdated and refers to things that no longer exist in the newer version of TGB. I've got a team member to try and help (he's much more experienced than I at coding, but still lacks) and even then he wasn't able to get it working properly.

So my question is this, is there anywhere on these forums that teaches how to get it properly running (I've searched, but haven't found anything), and if not, does anybody have the tutorial 2d platformer project completed (or something similar) and sendable. It's been really frustrating that I haven't been able to figure this stuff out.

If you have access to TGB content, the link is here: http://tdn.garagegames.com/wiki/Torque_2D/GenreTutorials/PlatformerMovement

Thanks everyone!
