the textures are a bit extreme as well,
eg the third shot from the top -
who has cobblestone floors and a marble ceiling ?

I agree, back to Quark (UGGGG I HATE THAT PROGRAM .... nudge nudge constructor team).
@Orion,
I took most of the lights out since I dont own TLK and they looked kinda bad. I am waiting to purchase TSE then I will be able to do advanced lighting.

i think you should be able to get decent lighting w/o TLK, but it's your call!

One thing I noticed is that on the 6th picture, the texturing on the bricks are the same on the top as on the bottom, which makes it look strange...

I really can't say too much as I'm focusing of terrains and characters at the moment :)

Nice start Michael. The Building looks interesting but the textures need some work (hardest part really). Perhaps you can use baked textures for shadowing or something like that.I really can't say too much as I'm focusing of terrains and characters at the moment :)

Use Radiant, and only use Quark to export!

If you are competent in QuArK then you should have no problem.
The only people who don't like QuArK-
A) Don't spend the time to learn the interface.
B) Aren't competent level designers, therefore have to rely on all sorts of fancy tools
C) Mac & Linux only users(though I don't blame them, I wouldn't want to use WINE either :D)
D) And finally, they own another program.
But that is just my personal opinion. Once you figure it out, QuArK works great. Oh, and don't forget to keep your knife sharp!

I dont do any level design, so I dont use any of the tools. I was just saying its easy enough to use Radiant if you like it and have gripes about Quark.

I use quark. I used to use radiant for my JKII and HL2 editing but it seemed to be more boxy.

Quark is nice but if you want to try something else give 3D World Studio a try. I was a heavy Valve Hammer (Worldcraft) user and this program was exactly what I was looking for.www.leadwerks.com
