I am assuming that a port to TSE would require MAJOR work?

Ah, that would be a significant port.

and also see them... (maybe with somekind of preview window)
it shouldnt be SOOO MAJOR big if you could get a preview window when you wanted to see the Normal maps.. how they work... i mean just a simple solution... but also be able to apply normal maps in constructor would be a HUGE plus!.. but im no real progamming expert (yet)... :/
I'm gonna buy TAT (nooo... what happened to TSE) very soon.. and to be able to apply normal maps IN constructor and acctulay SEE them (somehow) would be... VERY handy and make the whole process of creating the levels ALOT easyer (You get what you see)

But... will it be done.... or at least to have some capability to put normal maps on in constructor... somehow and also see them... (maybe with somekind of preview window)

With GG knowing that TAT was in the works, why wouldn't a TAT version have been created in conjunction with TGE?

Constructor is currently based on TGE not TSE so there is no option to view normal maps directly. You can of course still build your DIF for TSE, you just won't be able to see the TSE-specific material properties.
As for changing the sun, this was added in Beta 9. Here's the details:

You can change a Form's contents by using the menu in its upper left corner.
