Animation not exporting correctly?

I have a character, animated doing a run. His arms are posed, but do not animate in the source file.

When I export the DSQ and check it in show tool, the character animates properly, though the arms are not in the right pose. I went and added keyframes on all of the arm joints, just to be sure it wasn't some sampling thing.

I was told that it can sometimes help to have the character in his base pose on frame zero. Unfortunately, i can't slide my animation around as I am using Biped in R8 sp3.

Any tips?
