TGB 1.1.1 editor resizing (strut/sprint)problem

When I installed TGB 1.1.1 (in windows) my display was set to 1680x1050 and TGB displayed fine.
When I resize display to 1440x900 the menu is cut off. (Actually the menu is still there and can be accessed by running mouse just under the title lbar and clicking when you see the very bottom edge of a menu.
When I resize my display to 1280x800 both the menu and the toolbar are "cut off" as well as the buttons and top tab on the TGB explorer.
I tried reinstalling using 1280x800 resolution, and all is sweetness and light.
So there is a workaround (installing at the lowest display resolution you plan to use) but it seems like there is some kind of strut/spring type problem that doesn't get resolved each time you open the program.
EDIT: In the subject that should be "(Strut/spring) problem."
