A question about 3d studio max for torque

by Jose · in General Discussion · 08/11/2006 (10:22 pm) · 3 replies

I was wondering if anyone would need 3d models around here, and would pay for them.
But i don't know about how to get a 3dsmax model into torque engine. With blitzbasic3d i have this exporter, that is kind of easy to use, is there an exporter for torque?
I want to make this website with my 3d work and show it to you guys, maybe it'll come helpful to someone's project.
Maybe as payment for first couple of models i could get paid with a copy of torque engine, i don't have a credit card, so you'd have to purchase it for me. But eventualy i'd need to get paid with cash, for wich i currently use western union.
Here are some pics of old models and current models i'm making. My web host sometimes is down, so if the images are down you should try again later.

If your used to B3D you will most likely be disappointed with Torques native file formats. They do have some nice built in LOD and animation blending features, but have no multitexture layers or UV support from Max.

If your used to using B3D pipeline with 3dsmax and want to do more than simple single texture skins DTS can be quite a chore. Having said that there are opportunities for paid work if you have the skills and seek it.

Having said that I just looked at your links, Since you seem to be primarily into doing characters you should have few problems with getting the kind of work your showing into torque :)
