So I've got to wonder . . . I'm working on a game at this moment and it's making some nice progress. Basically, when is this whole thing gonna get off the ground? :) Anybody have a clue? I'm just sort of wondering if it's a "next week" or "we're hoping before the sun dies" deal.

I can't imagine a Torque game that is ready for public consumption or especially purchase yet. Regardless, we are shooting to have some form of the Player's Site ready by June. It keeps slipping because there are no games to sell yet. Our launch is going to be with a game that I am developing in another company, Monster Studios. That game has been in development for 2 1/2 years, and has continued to slip.

I really doubt there will be much activity on the Player's Site until Fall 2002. We have been as timely as possible on all of our deliveries, and when we do things we tend to do them right. If you have a game that you think is ready for prime time, and launch of the Player's Site is holding you up, then please let me know.

note that I never mentioned anything about Torque . . . ;) it's not ready for prime time. Not even close. But I think I'll put some more effort into it now that it seems there might be some purpose.

Note: it's more of a bargain game than a $50 standard boxed game. If you've ever played Tyrian or Raptor you've got a good idea of what to expect . . . just with more modern graphics.

if only my artist would finish his finals . . . :P
