Hello!
I am wondering if there is a kit or something for Torque SDK that will make the engine able to load other mesh formats(3ds/obj) nativley. I have seen this mentioned in some forums, but I haven't found much information about it. Could you please tell me if such a thing exists or not?

Thanks for the link. I personally think it's better to use that format so I don't have to export everything. It might be a headache in the start, but not when I have it up and running ;)

And if you're using 3d studio max anyway... just use this new exporter

I couldnt find the original link here on gg anymore, so i just uploaded it to my own webspace. All credit goes to gg (please correct me if i'm wrong). It's just exporting to dts with 1 click on a button.. It would take just as much clicks saving it to 3ds as it would exporting to dts.

You do realise that 3ds does not support animation, and that you cant really create a player our of it. Or any weapon/enemy/vehicle for that matter. This is only a good replacement for using the interriors. And if you're using 3d studio max anyway... just use this new exporter
