GG website is soooo slowwwwww

by Mike Rowley · in General Discussion · 07/31/2006 (7:54 pm) · 35 replies

Is it just me, or is this forum and site crawling??
For the past 2 days, it's been almost impossible to browse the threads.

It may be something with my local network.
ie, the site is always zippy from home, but dog-slow from work.
it's just odd that the rest of the internet is super fast from work.
anywho.
thanks for the input, everyone.

Actually the site is fine for me today too,
altho nobody's at work today so our local network load is unusually low.

i really hope it stays this way!

here's comparative traceroutes if anyone's interested.
possibly the hiccup at 207.109.243.74 was responsible ?

Heya bryce -
as mentioned above, it's normal and correct for the traceroute to dead-end at 64.112.225.134.
the problem seems corrected for everyone who saw it.

I had dial-up in my last house. it was the slowest thing imaginable. 2 minutes to connect, 30 seconds to load google, 90 secs to load gg.......so glad we got high speed

or what i think is high speed. Im seeing people with page loads less than 100ms, and im a little over that each time. maybe its incredibly slow and i just got used to it?
