Listen, I'm not going to say crap like "Hi, this is blah from IwishitwasArealCompany.inc". I'm also not going to answer ads like that. Some where there has to people that are interested in making a game that aren't complete morons. Half the people in this section don't even run their post though a spell checker.
I've been on this forum for about 2 months or so reading up on this engine and this sounds more like it could complete a vision of a real game. I'm just coming from The Game Creators so I'll take all the teasing you wanna insert in this thread only...after this it's done OK?
I don't have any knowledge with this system(other then the tutorials) yet but what I do have and can offer people that are serious enough to want to complete a game yet grown up enough not to say they made a LLC or INC, is some modeling/texturing/animation experience.
I figure getting in with a group of guys that at least have a little clue of whats going on will help my learning curve of this new system. I'm not saying I'm ILM quality but my works not bad....and its all mine.. I never steal crap and adjust the hue on a texture and say look at my new model.
I have only a little work on line and it can be viewed on my site at:
3ddesign.out-lawz.com/index.php?ind=gallery
Least that proves I can do something. I use 3dMax8/PhotoshopCS for most my stuff although I've got quite a few programs. My programs are legit and licensed. I'm no kid, and instead of buying a new Harleys every few years like my friends.. I find I've never driven Zbrush home after having to many at the bar.....this is my hobby like others have theirs. I've made 2 big purchases this year one being the upgrade from Max6 to 8 and getting my driveway redone( exciting huh? ).
My interest are more in the mmorpg vein like the diablo/warcraft/ect and would love to get in with someone with the same interest. What I'm not interested in is responses from 10 year olds that wanna be the business consultant or story developer of a company.
At least come to me bearing similar skills as myself....That's not asking allot as I'm not that great.
Thanks in advance
Eric P.

We are currently searching for someone with extensive experience/talent with animation.
No, i'm not looking for someone who will make the next Gordan freeman player model. But I do need someone who is capable of doing the job right.
If you're interested in learning about our team. Drop by our IRC channel.
Server: irc.irctoo.net
Channel: #redink
Just to establish a few things right here:
1) We are not a company. We are a team of individuals passionate about game design, who needed a name to refer to themselves as.
2) Our current long term plan consists of one FPS, and Online RPG, and a cel-shaded platformer/battle game.
3) We are not strangers to the Torque Engine. Rather, we started out as a group of modders looking to expand past the constraints of just modifying existing games.
Like I said, we may be able to use you. If you think you're up to it, come by and chat with us.

My team seriously needs the help of someone more skilled then I in the area of 3D Modeling and animation. We are making an adaptive Action/RPG on a large scale, our companies name is Digital Awakenings Inc, and yes it is incorporated, cost me about $5000 for that. Digital Awakenings has been in business for about 12 years although this will be our first game release.
I have been working towards making video games through the entire life span of my company, I have 7 other people who I believe are the best undiscovered talent in my area. We are for the most part all local to each other, however I am not opposed to the idea of long distance team members.
Everybody who is working on this game is working for a share of the profit of the game, and then *crosses fingers* a really well paid job doing what you love to do out the other end.
People who are interested can contact me at
mkowalski@*NOSPAM*digitalawakenings.ca
I probably dont need to mention it but take out the *NOSPAM* part

I have read your post and would like to just make an initial contact. I initially wanted to make a game that I could sell and make enough cash that I could buy GameBryo ($55K) but that is looking even less feasible that the HOPE I had before. At one point I had a team of 2 concept artists, 3 3D artists, a few programmers besides myself a few composers/musicians and a couple of business contacts. What I have now is a 3D modeler who is working in Quark and has been busting his butt making terrain objects (houses, etc). I myself have used a lot of my free time (which is limited) to try to get people to join our project. I have 3 games I want to do in Torque and am tired of being let down by people offering to help. I now have reluctantly decided that I am no longer trying to make any cash off of this project (however it would be nice) but I want to take the experience and run with it. If you would like to hear about our games and might be interested in helping, please email me and let me know (hugoboosh@yahoo.com). Thanks
Mike
P.S. I even spell checked the post for you! LoL

Torque Owner ChrisG
I've been working on an FPS project called 'Strange Days' in my spare time over the past 4 months. The goal is produce an least one level of an FPS with the quailty of say 'Half Life 1' or 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein'. THIS IS NOT going to be the next best - next gen OMFG half-life 2 killer. This is just a game project that I have been working towards over the last 5 years.
My skills are programming (5 years C++) and photoshop (12 years). I've been picking up mapping skills using Quark 6.
Although I have a legit copy of 3DMax6 I haven't got the time to learn it so I've realised I'm going to need some help with the game, especially with DTS objects and character modelling/rigging. Some help with mapping will also allow me to look at getting into Torque scripting and modding the game engine.
I have a basic story line for the level (and a whole game if it's decided to continue with it after creating the level). This is not set in stone however.
This is only a project and I spend on average about 5 - 10 hours a week working on it. This may increase in the future once I get some other paid prgramming jobs out of the way.
If you (or any one else) is interested have a look at www.linknet.com.au/chrisg/_3dp.htm. ( I hope to update it over the next couple of days).
BTW: I'm using TGE 1.4 with TLK
You can contact me via email (see my profile), however please post here if you have emailed as my ISP has over-enthustiastic spam killers.
