Free" upgrade?

I got torque as a gift from family one anniversary.. and I see that garage games is doing a free upgrade to 1.4; long story short, I have registration code and everything else.. how do I get the upgrade?

Edit: the accounts email was barry@riverdragon.com
which I have the ability to view.. however when I submit a lost password, I never get the email
this was the same as registring, I had to set up a quick hotmail account to get confirmed..

The problem is.. I was never given an account or password by said person.. so on this account it says I never bought it...Edit: the accounts email was barry@riverdragon.com

I don't know if the GG staff will approve this, the license is non-transferable.

Btw, the riverdragon is just an alias to a normal gmail account, and the spam filter is turned off.
