Starting first game with torque

I'm starting my first game with torque and have a few questions.
It's going to be and fps.
(1).when my gun fires, what do i use as projectile(i don't want it to be seen, mabye a really small square).
(2).when the gun fires a shell will be ejected, what do i use as a shell(particles or an object) there will be more then 1 gun each with a different rate of fire.
(3).i want to dislpay a flash when the gun fires
(4).the shotgun will have a different crosshair then the rest of the guns how do i change the crosshair.
(5). the sniper rifle will have a scope, how do i zoom in and place a bitmap around the screen to make it seem like the player is looking througth the scope.
