For TGB, no not really. It wouldn't cover anything related to TGB other than the general syntax and structure of Torque Script. For TSE, yes, as most of the code it'd be dealing with is the same between TGE and TSE.

I only really found the scripting and GUI chapters to be useful for TGB... I personally feel that was worth the cost of the book but you may or may not.

I would agree with Joe. It's an invaluable reference and teaching tool, it can really help you get grips on scripting and the GUI system, if that is indeed your goal :)

So this brings up the question, when is "The Programmer's Guide to Torque Game Builder" going to be published?Someone *is* working on it, right?

The problem is we have a crapton of awesomeness coming down the dev pipe for TGB so TGB is still a bit of a moving target. Trust me in that it's worth the wait though, the upcoming features of TGB should increase ease of use and capabilities dramatically. The downside is something as a big as a book needs a solid target. Find the right time to choose that target is just as important as choosing the target so a book doesn't get released with outdated content :)
