Blender 2.42
New UV Unwrapping with the new angle based flattening, complex meshes can be unwrapped with much better results. Seam cutting tools to mark seams with a single click make it easier to cut up a mesh into charts, and the minimize stretch tool allows to reduce area distortion.
Will Exporter 0.91 work with this?

My initial inkling to extend on previous tutorials is to show how to set up a very basic 4-wheeled vehicle and then maybe creating doors.

I'm updating the current video tutorials to Blender 2.42 and Exporter 0.91. I've not tried animations with the latest versions yet but will investigate.For more info and a download link:

Just saw the tutorial - great. I just finished trying to create a tree shape with images of leaves with an alpha channel. It works great but has a visual effect where the back view leaks through the front view. Mainly noticeable when viewing up-close.
There is not much on the subject of creating trees for the terrain. I have started three treads "Anatomy of a tree..." It would be great if you can create a tutorial on this.

Joseph and I have been talking about this via email. He has filed a bug report on projects.blender.org as the problem appears to be related to unintended changes to how certain parts of the python API work now.
Its unclear at this time how this is going to be resolved short of fixing it in blender.
