TSE - MBU question

I am not a hardcore programmer so forgive me if my question is a little niave.
I was curious how much extra code (not included in the TSE engine) the game Marble Blast Ultra used and how much was TSE as it comes "out of the box".

Jonathon is correct, though, there was a lot of tech that we had to develop for MBU that has been (and is being) moved back into TSE.

Don: Well, the correct answer is "it depends on what you mean." Developing the GFX device for the 360 wasn't a trivial task, but it's mostly transparent to people using TSE.Jonathon is correct, though, there was a lot of tech that we had to develop for MBU that has been (and is being) moved back into TSE.

In terms of overall code, I'd guess MBU added less than 10% to the TSE codebase. In fact, a bunch of things like terrain were taken out. Making games like MBU aren't about writing massive bunches of code though, it's more like tweaking thousands of little things once the core is in place.

Plus, MBU was built with what will eventually be TSE for XBLA right? Not the actual TSE that we all know of as TSE?

If you build it - they will come.....thats what keeps going through my mind. An XBLA (semi?) compatable version of TSE will open up the indie community to a whole new market and pool of blooming indie devs. Thats how I got here and its why I am planning on buying TSE.

You need to talk to GarageGames to get a deal going.
