Tribes 2 Modding

I'm pretty new to the idea of creating games or scripting/ moding. I'm a big Tribes 2 fan and am debating buying Torque for a couple of reason. The big reason is that I want to make a Tribes 2 mod, and I'm wonderin if you can mod with Torque, or if its just for making whole games?
Thanks

Does anybody here by chance have any T2 moding experience, just so I could know what they use. Regarless I think i'll buy Torque.

Once you begin modding Realm Wars, we are sure you will want to buy the Torque Game engine. As we like to say:
Why make a mod, when you can make a game?

If you just want to make a mod, you can mod Realm Wars. The process is just the same as making a T2 mod and it uses the same scripting language. In addition, your mod audience does not need to buy a base game to play your game. Nor do you have to make a purchase to find out what modding is all about.Once you begin modding Realm Wars, we are sure you will want to buy the Torque Game engine. As we like to say:

I have also been wondering about modding realm wars but what are flight vehicles like, has this been removed from RW or is it possible to script it. ?

Basically, getting Torque will help you mod tribes 2.

I own a torque license but atm I'm doing a lot of modding for tribes 2. Knowing the definition of all the console function is very helpful and you can only get that through torque.Basically, getting Torque will help you mod tribes 2.

no "Content" from Tribes 2. Only core operational functions are similar.
Personally I would encourge you to try both. If you can
afford torque then jump on it's. It's hell of fun to play with and if you want to get a compiler later you can add some functions to the engine and presto you got your own game.
If you just want to mod tribes 2 then you don't need to purchase torque.
Best of luck.
