Forum in Firefox issues?

OK, is it just me, or does the forum have some rendering issues in Firefox? The forum was completely failing to show the "New Post" link or the pagination controls in Firefox, but not consistently. Very strange stuff.

It seems as if Firefox fails to load the entire page sometimes.

I experience that too, which is why I tend not to use Firefox for the forums, even though there are display issues on the "What's New" page in Opera. It seems as if Firefox fails to load the entire page sometimes.

Yes, sometimes you need to refresh a couple of times to view all of the posts in a thread. Most of the time long threads get cut of at a certain point.

No problems at all with Firefox here either, and I've been using it for a while. Maybe there's another common factor that's causing you to see these errors?

The version I'm using is 1.0.6 (it was already installed when the computer was purchased) and I'm running XP SP2.

Well, the 3 of us are from different countries, so any commonality is unlikely to be our ISP or network route, and it only happens to me when using Firefox, not Opera 8/9 or IE 6.The version I'm using is 1.0.6 (it was already installed when the computer was purchased) and I'm running XP SP2.

When ever I click Watch Threads in firefox I only get like the first 5. I don't get the complete list of threads.

I'm using the current version of Firefox, 1.5.0.4
Perhaps you should update to the latest version.

I'll have to give it a look and see.

OK, my about says I am using a version other than 1.5, but my auto-patcher says there is not a newer version available. I'm suspecting it might be that the auto-patcher missed a major patch and isn't updating any more.I'll have to give it a look and see.

OK, it is most definiately annoying that the auto-patcher in Firefox didn't inform me about this huge jump in version number. It remains to be seen if this definitely fixes my problem or not, because it was an intermittent problem, but at least it's a step in the right direction. Thanks, Tim.

I've also upgraded, but as I generally only use Firefox to view the "What's New" page every couple of weeks or so and the problem is intermittent, it will be a while before I can be certain if that solves it.

Yeah, but to be fair, it could be some other environmental factor. Not likely, but possible.

I use mozilla firfox on netscape and nothing seems to happen to me. Maybe its ur ISP. Your ISP may not support it or u could just tryng to get a new ISP though i dnt recommend it.

Nah, it's not my ISP. During the day, that's where I work. I suspect it really was just the version number of Firefox, I'm just not usually one to assume a fix works until it's had some stress testing. Jumping to conclusions about fixes has always caused me trouble in the past.
