TGE wont run

I have a p4 3.0 ghz 1 gig with a geforce nvidia 5500 video card TGE demo goes black and then refreshe to the windows Xp screen. I can hear the program start and see it in task manager but it does not appear. Alt-tab or alt-enter brings up nothing???
I currently run BF2 with high options withou any problem. I don't have clue why this is not firing up. PLease HELP

Anywhoo, you should attempt to force TGE into Direct 3D Mode. Even though you have an NVidia card which support OpenGL very well, you never know. BF2 is a D3D game (as are most pc games thease days) but Torque runs in OpenGL by default. I forget the exact lines but just look around the settings files, I think you can figure it out. (Or wait for someone nice to post what to do)

You can run BF2 all high settings with a 5500? I'm guessing you are refering to NVidia GeForce FX 5500. To be able to run BF2 with all high settings on a card like that (and still get decent FPS) would require overclocking or just some random luck.Anywhoo, you should attempt to force TGE into Direct 3D Mode. Thanks matt I do have Nvidia FX 5500 I will try that. Does torque use the Opengl 2.0 standard? it says:
